Currently solo oboe in Tampere Philharmonic, former solo oboe in Kymi Sinfonietta and English horn in “Het Symfonieorkest” (Netherlands).
Cristian was born in Albelda (Spain) and started his musical studies at the age of 10 in the “Escolania de Montserrat” (Barcelona) where he was a member of their prestigious boys choir, he also began his training in piano and oboe while there. He obtained his first degree in the “Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia” Madrid, with the professor Hansjörg Schellenberger where he obtained the highest marks. He finished his studies in the “Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève” with a two masters degrees in the streams of Soloist and Orchestra with professors Maurice Bourgue and Alexei Ogrintchouk.
He has been a guest oboist with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Kammerorchester Basel, Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice (Genova), Finnish Radio Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic, Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, National Orchestra of Spain, the Opera Orchestra of Barcelona and others.
